Want to get started with mobile banking but don’t know where to begin?
The Citi Mobile® App is a powerful tool that gives you the freedom to tend to your finances quickly, easily and conveniently, directly from a mobile device. It allows people to handle many of the tasks you may have thought required a visit to a bank branch or a call to customer service. Handy, time-saving features like Mobile Check Deposit give those with a Citi® checking account the ability to deposit a check after a couple of quick snaps of their smartphone camera — no need to locate an ATM or pop in to see your favorite teller (friendly as they may be).
If you are accustomed to conducting your banking person-to-person with a Citi staffer — and perhaps technology isn’t your strong suit — not to worry. You can get set up and learn about many of the Citi Mobile App’s features by viewing the following video tutorials.
And here’s to steering your financial life from the comfort of your couch.
What you’ll find below:
Once you’ve downloaded the Citi Mobile App from your mobile device’s app store, one of the first steps is to register and activate a credit or debit card account within the app. Have your wallet on hand, as the app is designed to use your mobile device’s built-in camera to allow you to quickly capture the account information that’s included on the card itself, so you don’t have to type it in. Watch the video above for more guidance on registering and activating your card.
Getting notified about new account activity can help you stay in close touch with your finances. Some alerts through the Citi Mobile App could even tip you off to fraudulent purchases in the event your card had unauthorized use. Options include setting automatic transaction alerts and reminders of upcoming bill due dates. Watch the video above for a walkthrough of how to set up account alerts.
You don’t need to stuff a check in a return envelope or call your credit card’s customer service line in order to pay your card’s monthly bill. Instead, consider paying through the Citi Mobile App. Watch the video above to follow the steps for making a payment.
Any bill payments conducted through the Citi Mobile App require a payment account. This is the source of the funds you want to be used to pay the bill. (A checking account is among the most common types of funds source.) Watch the video above to learn the process for adding a payment account.
The Citi Mobile App gives you access to digital copies of Citi® cards and bank account statements and other documents. If you receive paper statements in the mail from Citi but are ready to go digital, the app is here to help. Watch the video for a brief tutorial on going paperless.
